Reading the Cards

When you think that you’ve got a winning poker online hand, your next step is to make the most of it. If you’ve got the nuts, you’ve got to try to get as much money into the pot without letting your opponent know that you’ve got a hand that you like. It’s a fine line to walk, but if you pay attention and know what to look for, but knowing when to bet and when to check will end up making you a lot of money in the long run. One of the most important things to pay attention to is the texture of the poker online board. Look at the poker cards on the table. Let’s say you have pocket Aces and the flop comes out an Ace-King-2 rainbow. If the turn is a 5, then no one will suspect that it helped you, and a bet may not scare anyone off. If the last card to come out is one that may frighten your opponent, then checking would be the best option. If you’ve got a King-Queen offsuit and the flop comes out a 10-J-A rainbow, it might be too obvious if you bet, so check and put on a weak face. If you’re lucky, your opponent will try to buy the pot and bet against you, making him ripe for the check-raise.
